Music

Lenoir Community College • Kinston, North Carolina
Awarded July 28, 2020

Academics
I began the general education coursework for the AFA in Music in the fall of 2005, about 3 years before Lenoir Community College offered this degree. This consisted of basic writing, mathematics, history, sciences and social sciences. Electives chosen concentrated on religious studies as the ultimate goal was to study church music at East Carolina University.
Most of the music coursework was completed through the UNC System’s reverse transfer program between Lenoir Community College and East Carolina University. Music coursework completed at Lenoir Community College included two semesters of applied voice, one semester of applied piano, four semesters of choral ensemble, and various music appreciation and fundamentals courses.
